The goal of this study is to investigate "Johann Gottfried Herder's concept of educated man and explain its educational implications". Two basic questions are raised in this study: 1- What are the components of the concept of an educated man from Herder's point of view? 2- What kind of educational implications (foundations and principles) does the concept of an educated man have? To answer these questions, the research method is "descriptive-analytical" and "practical inference" based on Frankena's model. studies showed that the foundations of education from Herder's point of view are: 1. Educated man has an organic unity with nature; 2. educated man is aware of his social-cultural identity; 3. educated man has a desire for perfection; 4. educated person recognizes differences, diversity and multiplicity; 5. educated man grows and develops his individuality in society; 6. educated man has a spiritual orientation and 7. educated man is the owner of freedom. In addition, the principles of education from Herder's point of view can be mentioned: a. unity with nature, b. cultural self-awareness, c. acceptance of individual differences, d. self-actualization, e. perfectionism and f. liberalism.
