Background and Objectives: The concept of the struggle between two Islams, as presented in Imam Khomeini's thought, involves distinguishing between two opposing forms of Islam, which has sparked an awakening regarding the diverse interpretations of the religion. This distinction between "pure Islam" and "American Islam" can also be applied to the field of Islamic education. However, in the context of Islamic education, this struggle-encompassing resistance against both rigidity and Western cultural domination-has often been overlooked, leading to distortions in educational practices. Revisiting the formulation of the fight between these two forms of Islam, as articulated by Imam Khomeini, could be instrumental in defining methods for authentic Islamic education. The aim of this research is to derive educational implications from the idea of this struggle, as conceptualized in Imam Khomeini's thought, to inform the principles of Islamic education. Methods: Through a conceptual analysis of Volume 21 of Imam Khomeini's writings, the concepts of "pure Islam" and the "struggle between two Islams" have been clarified. Following this, an inferential approach has been employed to elaborate on the educational implications these concepts hold for Islamic education. Findings: The findings of this research have explained the main components of pure Islam and component of the strugle between two Islams, which express the religious foundations of Imam Khomeini (RA), and then, based on these components, the educational implications of the idea of the strugle between two Islams have been extracted. Conclusion: Pure Islam and American Islam have opposite and contradictory teachings that you cannot achieve pure Islamic education by simply knowing positively about pure Islam. Drawing a border with American Islam is one of the essentials for Islamic education.
